Afghanistan as seen from the sky is a country full of surprises. It is sweet, green, brilliant. Then suddenly become bad, black, dark. It gets from the golden glow of the desert to the deadly white color of the snow.
Member of the photo agency VII, has followed the conflict in Iraq since January 2003, three months before the war. Since 2004 he has been constantly on assignment for TIME Magazine in Baghdad. His images have captured the horrors of war, the hope after the fall of Saddam Hussein, the growth of terrorist groups and, recently, an inexorable fall into a bloody civil war.
Pagetti is a photojournalist since 1997, prefers conflict situations: Afghanistan (1997, 1998, 2001, 2009/2010), Kosovo (1999), East Timor (1999), Kashmir (1998, 2000 and 2001), Palestine (2002), Sierra Leone (2001) and South Sudan (1997). He has also worked in India, Vatican City, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Italy.
Work with major newspapers such as Newsweek, The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker and Stern, in addition to the longstanding partnership with Time Magazine. His work was published in Le Figaro, Paris Match, The Times of London, The Independent, The Sunday Times and DAYS JAPAN magazine.
